SOUTHERN HAMBURGER STEAKS WITH ONION MUSHROOM GRAVY

Once you get a bite of these luscious burgers, you will crave for it all the time! The gravy alone is more than enough for you to know that this recipe is superb! I can’t think of any reason why you shouldn’t try this. See if you have all the ingredients, follow all the steps, and you have yourself a meal to remember. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

For the Hamburger Steak Patties:

1 large egg

1/4 cup bread crumbs

6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped

1 teaspoon of seasoned salt

3 tablespoons olive oil

1-1/2 pounds ground beef

1 large onion, diced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoons fresh black pepper

1 cup all-purpose flour

For the Brown Onion Mushroom Gravy:

1 large onion, chopped

1 cup of beef broth

1 cup of water

1/4 cup of all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce

1 Tablespoon Gravy master (orange top)

2 cups of freshly sliced mushrooms

Directions:

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the patty aside from the olive oil and flour.

Step 2: Make 4 to 6 patties out of the mixture.

Step 3: Dip each patty into the flour and make sure to coat each evenly.

Step 4: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 5: Add the olive oil and allow it to become hot.

Step 6: Add the patties and cook both sides until the colour turns brown.

Step 7: Set aside the accumulated grease from the patties.
